OBSCURA DAY u Beogradu

subota, 20.mart, 11:30

Obsura day je dan za istraživanje i zavirivanje u skrivene ćoškove - Potražimo blago u našem dvorištu!

Atlas Obscura organizuje obilazak zanimljivih mesta u gradovima širom planete.

Saturday, March 20, 2010 from 11:30 PM - 1:00 PM

Obscura Day is an international celebration of curious places happening around the world on March 20, 2010. It is sponsored by Atlas Obscura, a guide to the world's wonders, curiosities, and esoterica.

Join us for a special tour of the Nikola Tesla Museum. We'll see Tesla's ashes (held in a gold plated sphere), a two-phase generator, the famous "egg of Columbus" (which Tesla used to secure funding for his AC motor), and of course, lots of Tesla coils.

Love projections

The Darkroom motion graphics studio did this mapping projections for the opening of a secret festival in the North East of England. The theme and logo of the party was the heart.

solar plane on its way

A prototype of the Solar Impulse, an aircraft powered entirely by the sun with a giant wingspan measuring 63 meters (about 207 feet), or roughly that of a large commercial passenger aircraft. That design is aimed in large part at maximizing surface area in order to make it possible to attach 11,628 solar cells.

The plane will carry four 100 kilogram lithium batteries each powering a propeller engine. But the overall weight of the plane is 1,600 kilograms (3,527 pounds), or about that of a car.
